John and Fellow Listreaders: On a practical level, large format scanning backs will work fine with all sorts of lenses and provide remarkable - sometimes breathtaking - results. Be aware, that these back vary greatly in thier abilities to work at low light levels and that this should be investigated carefully before you make that very big leap.
