Depth of field and sharpness are not the same thing, obvious I know but,
while f32 may give you more depth it will also give you less sharpness. Most
lenses have an optimum sharpness, each lens is different but it's generally
in the range of f5.6 to f11 certainly not much beyond that.

It is generally accepted that single shot digital capture backs require less
light for an equivalent exposure, this is not the case for scanning backs
(unless they have changes significantly since I last used a Phaseone studio
back, I would be happy to be corrected) so they may not be the ideal
solution for location and architectural work, or landscapes for that matter.

The wide angle issue is still a problem in the digital arena unless you are
using a 35mm full frame body.
