Are you trying to get the printer to pick up and address over DHCP - or
do you wish to manually configure it?

That is *very* wrong - an IP address ending in 255 will be a broadcast
address.

I take it that you have enabled the DHCP server on the Netgear (A model
number would help further suggestions)? How were you previously
accessing the internet and assigning IP addresses to your network? 

If you let me know the IP range and subnet mask that the Netgear is
assigning (which is what I think you're saying is happening now) - I'll
be able to offer some more advice. Maybe you should contact me directly
off list?
