Hi Dick,

If your subnet is 192.168.0.x and mask is 255.255.255.0 - then you can
place your printer on any 192.168.0.x address. If you're running DHCP
out of the Netgear - you can put the printer outside the DHCP scope -
so, for example on 192.168.0.100 - as it's outside the DHCP scope, the
Netgear doesn't need to know about it. You just have to be careful that
you don't go and assign that address manually to another device on your
network.

Is the subnet mask in the Epson WinAssist set to 255.255.255.0?

In the 'Networdk Card Properties' of WinAssist - on the TCP/IP tab -
you've set to Manual, disabled 'Set By Ping' and put the subnet mask of
255.255.255.0 in? The default gateway should be the IP addy of your
Netgear (run the command 'ipconfig /all' on your XP box to find out what
it is if you're unsure).

Tim.
