Hi David, Sharpening to correct for softness of digital capture.
Most of my work is with portraits, which I soften instead of sharpen, but there is an occasional commercial wide angle assignment that needs it. I did a candid job two weekends ago that I will be sending to a printer on disk for a local magazine and I want to sharpen some of those images. The event was photographed with a Fuji S2 using a sharp lens and the Nikon SB 800 flash. The camera was set on low contrast so the blacks and whites would not get blown out.
