I have to say that I generally prefer using the Minolta software over
Vuescan now. I have used Vuescan for some time as it has generally given
better results than supplied vendor software. I get very good results from
the Minolta software with next to no tweaking.

Yes, infra-red is the equivalent terminology to ICE.

The negative profile for NPS that is provided with Vuescan might be a
plus, I havent scanned much negative film with the Minolta so dont have
any comparison.

The one advantage of Vuescan is its flexibility. I was hoping that it
would be possible to scan panoramic 35mm (XPan etc) with the Minolta, but
it looks like this is not possible, even with VueScan.

Anyone else managed it yet?
