I had a similar thing happen with me the feint banding and a coarse screen effect. It turned out that the printer had reverted to standard print out mode about 360dpi instead of the 1440 I usually do, hope that helps. One other thing When I first got it I had a batch of paper that was faulty which gave a wiered effect. Epson replaced it and I moved on to other paper and lyson inks.
