Question, how does one realign the heads? Other than printing, the only options that I have in the Epson Monitor 3 application that I have are to check the ink levels and to do cleaning cycles followed by a nozzle test. Is there any other software I should have?

The Epson print driver in OS9 should have a head realignment option in the final dialogue box before printing - this is with the nozzle check and clean cycle options. If this test looks ok it's more than likely that you have deflected nozzles which will need delicate cleaning.

It will sometimes take days to clear - leave it overnight with a drop of distilled water on the parking pad as William Curwen suggested. Run a clean cycle and print a purge print, again as described by William. Then leave for a while - don't run dozens of purge prints or clean cycles. This seems to make it worse! If it doesn't clear use a cleaning pad.

Once you have a clear check, run a print every few days if it is not being used, even if it's a couple of nozzle checks. This helps prevent the heads from drying out.

If William Curwen is listening, why do you make the purge print at 180dpi? I don't doubt it - I'm always ready for more efficient ways of working!!
