It is odd that - I use the normal save on my site images and have no complaints with the results, perhaps I'll investigate further. I normally use the Baseline Optimize compression method.

There are extra settings in SFW that maybe change what is output.

That would go some way to explaining the smaller file size but I am still
seeing a better quality final image from the SFWeb function than from a
straight jpg save (which creates a lower quality picture with a larger file
size), mmmm?
