Nikon has issued a statement which may help clarify some of the issues
discussed on the list regarding what was and was not available in  their
stand at  Focus on Imaging.  Please Read On.

Focus on Imaging 2004 proved to be a great success for the
photographic industry. The overall feedback from both consumers and
Nikon staff was very positive.
We were therefore disappointed to find posting on the Prodig forum
indicating that members had left our stand feeling dissatisfied with
the information we provided. This was certainly not our intention.

Although we greatly appreciate consumer interest in our product
developments, due to both commercial and legislative reasons Nikon
staff must adhere to strict guidelines regarding the disclosure of
information on any future products, rumored or not. They are however
expected to handle all enquiries in a polite and professional manner,
we therefore apologize if any customer felt unhappy with the standard
of service they received.
