Hi hope someone a bit more technical than me can help cast light on what I am doing wrong.
I have set my 1DS to RAW capture only an when I plug the card in to the card reader Adobe RAW opens automatically each time I open a raw image (although they show up as Tiffs in the file browser which is also confusing - anyone know why they show up as tiffs?). I can then process away until heart's content etc. BUT if I record the unadjusted RAW files straight off the card and onto CD and then open files from the CD in Adobe CS they open as tiff files - i.e. Adobe RAW dialog box doesn't open up. This process of recording the RAW files first has always worked fine in Capture 1 - am I doing something wrong in CS?
