The phrase "as new" doesn't mean brand new. The definitions of "as new"
and "reconditioned" are whatever the seller wants them to be.
Personally, I wouldn't buy anything "reconditioned" or "refurbished" if
the reconditioning or refurbishing is done by anyone other than the
original manufacturer and came with appropriate warrantees.

I doubt that this is a "warehouse error". Contact your credit card
company (you did pay with a credit card, right?) and deny the payment
until the seller satisfies you.

Dear List

Just need to flag up a quick warning on this item. Having been to the
same company and web page as Mike, I ordered one of these laptops being
sold as being and I copy: Toshiba as new class 1 stock 1 yr.
warrantee. And guess what arrived this morning. Yes one very nice
Toshiba P10-804 with a sticker underneath it saying that it was
Reconditioned and only had a 90 day warrantee!

Having not been able to raise the company to get an answer as to whether

this is simply a warehouse error, I just wanted to alert anyone thinking

of making the same purchase.

Cheers

Richard
