Hi Folks

I know there was some debate about protecting images on the web recently
and having had a few people rip off my work watched the thread with
interest.

I came across an interesting link the other day which may be old hat to
some so apologise if you've seen it already. It's a pretty concise
article which goes a little further than the thread did in dealing with
Print Screen and Screen capture as a way of circumventing code and
JavaScript disablement on the right mouse button.

I can pick holes in the fact that one of the solutions may deter
visitors by requiring installation of a small applet/plugin without
which the user wouldn't be able to view the images. On the flipside,
being able to view a large, good quality image without worry of it being
stolen has advantages for the visitor and previews can be made as lo-res
or thumbnail crops of the whole picture to encourage the visitor to view
large images.
