Hi Graeme, I've taken the text elements from the existing ticket entitled 'ProofMaster Info' and dropped them into a new PM Viewer document. I then choose this as the ticket in the relevant queue so, if I drop a TIFF (let's say it's called 'Test.tif') onto the queue, the ticket will read 'Test.tif'. I also include the date and time in my tickets, so they can be ordered sequentially should they become a disordered mess! With the latter, I'm really talking about test situations - something I like to do when I think of new ways of optimising a file and need to find out exactly what is going on. What an exciting life! If you are always using PM Viewer to lay out images, then yes, the ticket will give the name of the PMV document. However, I am usually printing through PhotoShop across the network to the print server, so I simply layout my images in 'Print with Preview' (or sometimes drop a file from the finder straight onto the queue) thus ending up with the correct file name in the ticket. I hope I haven't got the wrong end of the stick with the question...? It sounds like you might always be using PM Viewer to send files to the RIP, whereas I am sometimes and sometimes not!? Maybe we should have a conversation about it...
