I use both platforms. Just network them together. Then use the windows machine for communications and business stuff, and the mac for imaging stuff it's good at.
Keep your main Mac machine clean and dedicated to Imaging.
Use your PC for......specialist Windows-only applications; Accounts; Video conferencing
Get a small Mac or Linux OS machine for EMAIL...... why?... well in nine years of email, and receiving on average 50 email viruses (viri) a day, I have never been infected or suffered a failure of any kind... and I still have 98% of my email archived for that whole period.
This really isn't the place to discuss general computer issues such as platform migrations and email, but it is all achievable and the information is out there on the web if you care to look for it.
ANYONE WANTING TO SHARE WELL GROUNDED HELP ON THESE ISSUES SHOULD POST IT TO THE <PRODIG ANNEX> WHERE IT CAN EASILY BE READ BY ALL.
