Hi, and thanks Jim,

However, what I am looking for (to purchase) is something up a level (s)
from that:

The background is that after a wedding, we'll have around 2000 images, which
get edited down to 4-800, which we initially show to the client on CD, with
contact sheets. We are currently using PS7 to generate the contacts, and
(eek) powerpoint to put together the slide show.

Ppt lets us order the images and the timing of slides on screen (fine so
far)... But, it doesn't maintain the file name (replacing it with slide 34
etc), which causes a bit of a headache, when producing prints.

So, the ideal software will allow us to produce an ordered set of images,
retaining original file name, with the slide show and contact sheet having
the same running order (makes it easier for the client to make their
decisions, and for us to action them). If they can be ordered on a light
box, all the better. We already have actions to resize to 600pixels, sRGB
with (C) overlay.

The software IAIW would create a cross platform viewer, and would... Look
good.

I have absolutely no issues with paying for the professional functionality
that I crave...

I believe that this isn't a requirement unique to the social side of
professional digital practice - the same requirements could be applied to
many scenarios where the end viewer does not have professional viewing
equipment.

So, still open to any helpful suggestions.

Try Pics2Exe (Picture to Exe) from www.wnsoft.com or do a search on
http://www.topshareware.com/Pictures-To-Exe-download-2824.htm

very tidy little bit of software for slideshow presentations. Sadly only
works with PCs

Mainly using Win 2k, XP pro, PS7, shooting from (raw file S2), mixed with
film scans (tif's).

Any responses, either on or off list will be greatly appreciated.
