I just did a motherboard swap... stepped up from a Pentium4 1.8 MHz processor to an Athlon 64 3200+. (1GB of DDR400 RAM... Maxtor 7200rpm hard drive with 8MB cache... MSI K8T-FIS2R motherboard) Boy Howdy! I didn't know what to expect really... Photoshop CS is startlingly fast. I didn't really feel like complaining before... it was fine really... but now it's really, really fine. Working in 8bit... stuff is just instantaneous. Even working on 16 bit images, most operations seem pretty much instantaneous. Geez I'm a happy camper today.
