Kieth,

You may experiment by yourself the C1 benefit as a trial version for one month is available on the C1dslr web site.

For my own, I think C1 gave me less noise, more subtle colours and it's far easier to set than CR.
As I already wrote on Prodig you may read a full comparison at
http://www.lashier.com/home.cfm?dir_cat=20503&gal_col=2.

Of course C1 is, at least on Mac, very slow, and don't forget: just like Gremlins must not be damped or feed before midnight never, never, never up-size with C1, and the best is to set sharpness to 0/0.

I had never regretted the expense. I repeatedly red about Canon who is planning to offer a free upgrade of his soft which could beat C1, it should come soon but I don't know if it will support 1Ds and when it will be available.

Best.

Could you possibly quantify, with some examples, the areas you feel C1
superior? It would be very helpful in deciding whether the not
inconsiderable cost of C1 ($500) would be justified for my own
types/quantities of work.
