Hi Inno',

A very interesting technique that we could only judge the accuracy of by 
seeing both screen and print . Mind you , that may depend on what angle 
we view the laptop screen at :-) !

It may be that by the magic of serendipity you have achieved the perfect 
match , but then again it may be that the tolerances you find acceptable 
are at odds with some others expectancies . 

If it's the former , then luck is with you , if it's the latter , and  
you are happy  with the results anyway ,then  that's also great  for you 
. 

However to attain critical control over colour throughout a professional 
digital workflow on a consistent and predictable basis, to the tolerances 
required by many  areas of the industry , will  require a methodology  
slightly more robust than the one you propose.
