I can't speak for a 2100, but certainly on my 1160 with a CIS I have the printer sitting on some 1-2cm thick strips of wood. I'm pretty sure that was mentioned in the instructions for my CIS when I installed it. Never had any leakage problems (so far - fingers crossed!)
