Dear Christine, I use an x-s drive which is usb 2 so if you get a ibook you can have as others say a copy on the ibook and another copy on the xs drive so say you have to chuck your laptop in the hold on a flight or it gets nicked you are safe with the work. Plus the x-s drive acts a usb 2 card readrer as well and an mp3 player. X'S-Drive VP300 with 40GB Hard Disk with 40gb drive 265 in vat
