I think I mentioned the washing mashine - AND tumble dried Lexar card! They seem pretty robust. My Microdrive suddeny failed after three years without droppping or warning.
Lexar offer a recovery program with new cards but also there is a company that has been reccommended to me by someone what knows, that claims to be able to recover pretty much any data from any cards.
