A striped array (Raid 0) requires a minimum of two drives and writes 
each data block to the next available drive in succession. Although 
this is the fastest - especially suited to video editing - and most 
efficient array type it offers no fault-tolerance.

I'd suggest a mirrored array (Raid 1)  which requires a minimum of 2 
drives. All data is written identically to both drives. A failure of 
one drive will not bring down the system as the other drive/drives will 
continue to operate. It is the only Raid array offering fault-tolerance 
using no more than 2 drives.
