Posting that some who took the time out to offer you free advise are (self) righteous is not going to help you when asking for assistance in the future I suspect, and sadly may make others rather wary of offering advice to others too..
I asked for advice that suits my needs.

Nobody as far as I am aware suggested you were. The list mums are very tough on any listee who insults other members!
I know shooting Tiff files is better, but for my own reasons I will be shooting jpegs and my camera still has a green grey cast to the images!!
And raw is better still, but you are free to choose your own poison.
If you can't help, then why waste your time and effort emailing in.
Your first email gave experienced members plenty of reason for thinking that you may have some basic concepts wrong, and be at the early learning stage with Photoshop, so to say the above is perhaps rather unwise. It's all about links in the chain....a weak one brings problems and so it's often a process of elimination.
I see that several people have offered additional help today and hope you will soon resolve your problems.
As to a comment made by someone today in reply to your post, I would like to point out that we are all here to learn and help, but it's worth saying that a certain amount of self help is expected of everyone. This is a general comment and not directed at you<G>
