Ive use Printfix to profile my 1270 Epson which is only used to print out contact sheets to show what files are on the CD or DVD that I hand over to the client. Since rebuilding my PC running XP pro Ive been unable to get printfix to work. Photoshop CS froze when I tried to calibrate the printfix reader . Colorvision suggested the USB port was the problem.I tried the onboard ports and the PCI card ports with similar results I then installed a new drive and reinstalled the OS plus all software I use as I was going to do this anyway and planned to keep it as a fully loaded spare boot drive to stuff back in the box if the original ever failed. This time when I installed printfix the PC would not boot up normally so I uninstalled printfix in safe mode and the system once again works fine.
