The twenty-five pounds/year fee is not steep although with a bit of luck

Dear Ian/All

These fine back slapping pronouncements from BT are all very well, but I am told that even if every exchange in the UK is BB enabled, there is still the little matter ,of how far you are from it and the quality of your cabling. If you are connected to the exchange all the way on copper then you are in with a chance...if not all bets are off!

Keeping fingers crossed here for the end of the month when we should be on, but being 6.6 km from the exchange its pushing it, but BT said that it should be OK....very tempting to believe as it will really free up the scanning business!! No not going with BT as the ISP, as Eclipse.net.uk have an excellent low contention rate business scheme, with the ability to up the connection speed on a day or hour need bases.

Cheers

Richard
