Hi Ivan, I venture to suggest that it could be a reflection from the chip onto the back of the lens, which then gets reflected back onto the chip as a pink 'glow' dead centre of your image. I had the same problem using the Nikon 85mm f1.8 lens with the Kodak DCS14N. It seems to happen with lenses that have a large rear element sitting way back in the lens and therefore both bigger and closer to the chip than normal. I hope that someone using the same combination of kit as yourself may shed more light though.................... Cheers, Mark. ---------------------------------------- Mark Harwood Photography Studio12 The Waterside 44-48 Wharf Road London N1 7SF Tel: 020 7490 8787 Mobile: 07702 233721 ---------------------------------------- www.markharwoodstudio.co.uk [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 03, 2004 3:12 PM > Hiya people, > Long time (thankful) lurker, now begging some help, suggestions please. > > I have recently purchased a Kodak DCS Proback (yes I know they're > discontinued, that's why it was a good price) with a Mamiya 645 AFD and > 55-110 lens and I have a 'pinkish' problem. > > There is a slight magenta cast in the middle of the image, it starts > (wide open) as a circular/oval shape, but becomes progressively more > rectangular as the lens is stopped down. > It covers a large part of the frame (70-80per cent). > > Lens and sensor are clean, I'm not using any filter. > I have the IR filter but not the AAliasing. > I have managed to make a layer mask to get rid of it but I've had to > make 1 for every focal length and aperture... > > What I'd like to know is: > Are there any ProBack users who have had a similar problem? > Could it be the combination of the lens and sensor?
