Hi Darrin Can't shed any light on the specifics of your problem, but is there any reason you shut your Mac down at night? Is it a regular thing? I only ask as OS X runs utilities and housekeeping in the small hours I believe, which help keep everything running along nicely. By shutting down, especially regularly, you forgo this element of the OS which can lead to problems for no apparent reason.
