The program I use is Thumbs Plus http://www.thumbsplus.com.au/default2.htm The Automatic File Renaming is one of the most used features. It allows for: Prefix (type in anything) Next number (start at 42 if you like) Variable increment (3,5,7 etc) AND, Suffix (text or numbers) Enable leading zeros (001, 002 etc) A sample of the next two file names is shown in the dialog box. I use hypens, spaces and underscores. All work. You would have to have a workflow. Eg move all London pics into a folder, auto rename, move them out. And so on. It will rename raw files.
