Dear Chris On Capture 1 3.5 there is a facility to set up a session before you insert the card which then asks if you want to import the new images and rename them as you import them. You have to start the software and name a session before you insert the new card - not, from what I can figure out, the other way around otherwise it imports the images to the current session. You can name the folders at this point and rename the processed folder and trash folder to keep them all together when moving the whole session from on machine to another. You just then open that session from the session icon within the folder - did all that make sense. I have found the workflow that this has produced to be invaluable. C1, when it was first introduced, was rather clunky in that department and they have worked very hard in to make it as painless as possible. I know they make a cheaper LE edition, I don't know whether its along the same lines as the Pro Version - I got mine with a Phase One back, but it has proved invaluable when working with the Canon. Also, all the above information is how it works on a Mac - not sure if the workflow is the same on PC as I think visually the GUI is slightly different. Maybe Ulf at Phase One would like to chip in at this point :o) PS never tried Adobe Raw - still on PS7 - and got the C1 anyway with the back - so lets not start another flame war in that department :o) And no I don't work (or beta test!) for Phase One - just a satisfied customer :o) Regards Graeme C Graeme Cooper Photography A Member of The Association of Photographers http://www.aop.org =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
