Excuse me if I am quoting the wrong person here but there are some strange quotation replies in this thread that are hard to follow. However, could I politely ask why whoever wrote this is even bothering with ProDig? This forum is for full-time professional photographers who ARE working with digital. The incredibly boring debate about film versus digital is as bad as Mac v PC. If you think film is better that's just fine, but as the writing has been on the wall for some time now and photo companies are without doubt abandoning film, can we please concentrate on what most members of this list are here for, getting the best from our very new and VERY exciting technology. I haven't shot film for over three years and I have ZERO, ZILCH, DIM problems.
A little thought - don't you think it's interesting that photographers are
having a hard time what a point when there is more photography being used
than ever?
In my experience, it's quite the opposite. I am making more profit than ever, gaining more clients and am generally happier than ever, as I and my clients know we've got a great shot by the end of play. I wish digital had happened a long time ago as I would almost certainly be much richer by now!
Maybe the question is not digital or film, but how can we best adapt to the new marketplace?
Exactly!
With respect to all photographers, regardless of media,
