Just had a look at the two pins where the mains lead goes into the square power adapter and one is looking very burnt!
Same here. It's on a Powerbook that's only a couple of months old, and I alternate between the extension lead and the 13A adaptor. It's plugged in most of the time - I'll be surprised if it's still functioning by Christmas.
Is this a widespread event? What happened to yours, Franz?
