Sorry for a delayed response to this Shangara considering I saw you earlier on ;) We are overstocked on the 1290 model CIS because we got in a large quantity for a customer who then let us down. Hence, we wish to clear them down to more normal stock levels. > Also, on the Marrut site, they call the Fotonic inks "Fotonic > Archival Colour Ink." mWords are calling the inks simply > "Lyson Fotonic Inks." Is there a difference? Are the inks on > the Marrut site newer? Are they the same? There is a bit of history here; first, as we were the first company (to my knowledge) in the UK to sell CIS and inks that were not 'own brand' we had to buy the Lyson inks in bulk and bottle them ourselves. It was quite some time before Lyson bottled their own inks into CIS-type bottles. Since that time we have taken on a wider range of Lyson inks (like the Fotonic inks for the 2100 printer); therefore some Lyson inks we sell are in Lyson bottles with Lyson labels etc, and some have our own labels on - but the inks are still the 'same' as the _equivalents_ sold by e.g. marrutt. One reason we choose to keep this historic split is because it is very important not to mix up Lyson Fotonic inks (for most Epson Desktops excluding 2100, which we tag 'LF'), and Fotonic for the 2100 (which we tag 'L2' on our site). I.e. those users who buy large bottles of Fotonic ink to run on a 2100 should not use those inks to refill a 1290 CIS aswell. As for the exact name on our own labels and our site, yes, I prefer to err on the side of caution when considering longevity etc. I hope this helps, Nij The Team at MWORDS www.mwords.co.uk Digital Fine Art For hints on how to use our site: http://www.mwords.co.uk/pages/howToUse.htm =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
