Close the browser window if it is open, there are some changes that you can make it prefs that make no since but seem to help. I do not remember where I picked that up though.
How come the file browser was such a great innovation in PS7, and has come to be such a hindrance in PS8? Nearly every tip I read to do with salvaging CS poor performance seems to involve closing the file browser?
