Thomas But you'd already said what the cure was on XP, so no point in me repeating it (not that I could, as I am Mac based and rarely get the chance to run Photoshop on a PC). My thinking was I would add something to the pool before Mac users thought they also needed to restart Photoshop. If you are saying that's a bad thing, I will shut up. >> For example, I am >> logged in as Admin, I have all my profiles in the Library > ColorSync > >> Profiles folder and I do not need to restart Photoshop if I add or move any >> profiles out of the folder. > > No you simply open color settings to update the profile cache - not so on > PC's. That's what I said: "On the Mac in OS X, provided you are putting the profile in the ColorSync folder that you have access to, you don't have to restart Photoshop, just reopen the dialog(s) you are using to select the profile." Have I missed something? What I didn't know was this method of updating the cache does NOT work on the Print with Preview dialog. Had I done as much printing as some of the gathered, I'm sure I would've noticed. Thanks, Bob. > On a PC you have to reboot Photoshop to update the cache. But on the Mac, you don't. <g> Shangara Singh. ________________________________________________ :: Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) Photoshop CS :: Photoshop CS Essential Tips || Photoshop Glossary (eBooks) :: Examaids for Adobe & Macromedia Certification :: http://www.examaids.com || http://www.photoshopace.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
