Dear list

My apologies if someone has replied with this suggestion already, but I only
read the digest once a day.

Graphic Converter (bundled with my version of Mac OS 10.3) offers the option
of removing exif data while leaving the important iptc info intact. It seems
to do this without opening the jpg file and resaving. My workflow is this:

Open Graphic Converter and open folder of images in browser

Select required images

Right click on one of selected images (I assume this is option click for Mac
users who haven't discovered non-mac mice)

Choose jpeg>remove metadata

Tick everything apart from 'iptc and Photoshop metadata' and 'icc'.

Click OK

This seems to re-write the resource fork, without altering the jpeg image
information. I've tried Shangara's test and cannot see any
difference.....but it is a drunken 1am....

Hope this helps

Simon
