Sorry, I got this case confused with the current litigation in Michigan
concerning the telephone monitoring issue.

I am inclined to agree that the officers did the right thing although it
is not clear to me how they knew Hudson had intent to sell and what
felony was being committed with the unlicensed weapon. But some judge
did issue a warrant.

Mistakes can happen, but the officers are there to execute a WARRANT.
That means a judge has given the go ahead and the previous "rule" only
gave drug dealers the opportunity to get to the toilet before the
PO-lice could get to the drugs.

Yeah! Even if they get the wrong house and ruin some lives, who cares,
right?

This is just the first battle. Rest assured that the war is not over.

Those who would sacrifice freedom for safety deserve neither safety nor
freedom.

Hudson v. Michigan, 04-1360

Now we don't have to say "Mother May I" before taking care of business!
The Supremes have spoken and now the police (warrant in hand) don't have
to give thugs a running head start to the toilet with the drugs before
kicking down the front door.

Thank you GWB for putting the conservatives on the bench!

John
