Holding "offensive" arms merely incites other people to be better "tooled up" as per all the gang warfare in your country as in the UK. I agree with the sentiment that "guns never kill people...people kill people" but if you take away the guns then they can't be used.
The criminals *will* be tooled up as you put it. We have to be ready. Seems to me that the UK and Australia have taken away the guns. I see in the news that their crime is now much worse than before, criminals are now empowered to strike with no fear of facing any effective defense. You must love that.
