Mnay are speculating as to what Materazzi may have told Zidane in
order for
him to act like such a fool.
Well it isn't really a surprise to anyone near the Juventus
entourage, it's
been a well known fact for years (some national tabloids even wrote of
this...), but when Zidane was playing for Juventus, his wife had an
affair
with young Juventus footballer Sneider (Esnaider actually)
Zidane's play suffered from this and when word of the story came to the
Juventus management, they immediately chose to move Sneider to Spain in
record time. Furthermore, it was rumoured by very well informed Juventus
officials that his wife had an affair with Lippi (!!), but this never
made
it to the tabloids.
Now, many players on the field during the final were team mates of
Zidane at
the time this story broke out. Just put 2 and 2 together and you also
get an
explanation on why Znedine hasn't commented on what were the actual
provocations. Think of it, had it been something racist you can bet
he would
have called a squad of journalists for an immediate press conference.
