When there is enough of a demand that someone will devote the needed time to wrapping the curses library with the dabo.ui API. Right now I haven't heard of any volunteers.

PHP is a web development language. It is very good at what it does, but IMO is an ugly language. We were not looking to create yet another web application framework, of which there are dozens and dozens already; we wanted to create a desktop application framework, of which there were almost none.
