I heard someone affluent in the community say the opposite I thought a
few years ago (last WhilFest perhaps?). She stated that you could
secure better with the web app. Perhaps because of the DBFs not having
security? To me, the web opens up many more possible hacks/exploits
simply by association with a much wider audience.
The downside is you have all those installations to deal with and the end

I know that's what was the big thing about web development...you got
past the deployment lockdown issues. But I've never really had to deal
with that, so "big deal" imo. As I've stated before, yes...there are
certainly areas where a web solution is best.....like amazon.com to
quote a recent example.
