The design ideologues, like Ed Leafe and (to a lesser extent!) myself, 
would point out that this is precisely the reason for the n-tier system 
design.  The business logic and data handling don't care what the screen 
size is.  If you keep the UI tier nicely separate, then you can build UI 
variants for different devices, while the guts remain the same.
