Your network-managed antivirus system blocked SMTP and/or POP from your workstations to their associated email servers? Yeah, that's a bug. We have had to work with clients (and their "computer guy") to configure over-eager malware blockers that prevent people from getting legitimate work done. It's pretty annoying. > BTW, if you use fax-to-email as well, do you have a lot of fun with people > who open one of the many thousands of malware-laden "Fax Report" emails > that are circulating these days? :) Fortunately not. Our fax provider (MaxEmail) is phenomenally reliable. Routine reports are suppressed, and failure reports go to one contact who understands what to look at and what to run through the malware scanner first. BTW, folks, if you're not aware of it: PDF was supposed to be a "portable document format" but since they enabled JavaScript, PDF must be considered an executable, on Windows platforms, anyway, that may contain bad code and, optionally, a document. > "I love standards, that's why I have so many." > > It's a free country, if you can afford it. > Oh, do let's not go there.
