Other than a bad start menu I see little difference. I did like 7 but 8.1 is
not terrible. In fact I quite like typing in what I want to look for on the
start page. but bring back the start menu. I think 8 would benefit from
allowing folders of apps. One thing, I rarely use tiled apps. They seem poor
versions. Skype was awful on tile, and for some reason Microsoft is now
trying to make the desktop version unusable too.

I agree, Gene. In the same vein, I just got a notice that my new Mac Mini
is ready to pick up at the Apple Store. I plan to put Windows 8.1 running
in Parallels on it, which should cover my casual VFP work, and use OS X
the
rest of the time.
