not all new is good. Most stuff these days will not last. Even electronics has convinced us that an extra pixel or 2 makes our stuff old and due for renewal. Example, I used to buy Levi jeans, I still do really but, I bought them because they fit well and last a long time. Last pair I had lasted shorter time than cheap jeans from cheapie shop. And Levi's are now made in the east. So not all new is better, in fact the opposite.

16 bit technology should have been reprogrammed along the way.  If it
wasn't there is probably a valid reason why not.

Sticking with the old and antiquated will get you burned, and the further
away you get the hard tings will become.  Sometimes you have to let old
memories fade away allowing you to look at things in a new light tomorrow.
