Many anti-virus products are dropping support for WinXP. So go with
ones that work with the OS!

Here are some free anti-virus scanners I knew:

1. Avast
2. AVG Free
3. Avira Antivirus
4. Panda Antivirus
5. Comodo (with firewall)
6. Bit-Defender

7. ClamAV (NOT real-time scanner)

Avira was possibly the first free anti-virus scanner, if my memory was good...
