Decided to make the plunge. What I'm looking for is a way to mimic my environment on my web host so that I can make changes and test here in my office and then ftp the changed files to my host.
Going to try the Ubuntu Install and then the Xaamp Linux install route. Anything I need to know, and also, I'm interested in subversion or some type of source control as well and I've never used it, so any hints are appreciated as I will be making numerous drill downs, and charts on the project that I started last month.
