Well, I guess I have gotten out of touch using a desktop machine with a mouse rather than replacing the desktop with a laptop. On the other hand, your post did not mention a laptop, but you did mention a mouse.

What I suggested works for me with copy/paste and reposition things. Sorry I didn't help . . .

In the VFP main window especially when editing forms forms for
instance, when I click and hold on an object to move it with the mouse
the shadow which appears is further up and to the left. When I drop it
where I think I want it, it appears elsewhere.

Hi Chris,

Try using both hands, one hand firmly holding the mouse in the
position where you want to drop. Didn't used to be a problem but now
the processors are so fast . . .
