Tbird can do this if it gets too many messages in the inbox...like thousands. If you google it there is a procedure where you delete, essentially, the index file that Tbird uses to make data access faster. After a restart of Tbird, the index file is rebuilt and all your messages will appear.

You can also try right-clicking on the folder and selecting "compact" from the pop-up.

Best advice for Tbird is that the fewer messages you have in your inbox, the better. On the other hand, I know a client who has 8,000 to 10,000 messages in his inbox all the time. Of course, he has this "disappearing" problem from time to time also.

Hey - sorry if I've gotten TOO Active lately & pestering everyone w/Q's - but...

...and this particular problem has been an issue for a while now. Tonite on the ride home - I finally just got frustrated enough - that I wanted to post the Q here.

So - a while ago, I found that my Sent folder is Empty. As such, I can't confirm what e-mails I sent out. And, this Only happened on my laptop (the Piece-of-Crap that I am trying to replace!) - and this has Not happened on my Desktop PC.

Anyone know what would cause this to happen? I even noticed the ability to Filter messages - but, no matter what I clicked just now -nothing made them show back up again... :-(

TIA!
