Yeah, I want my TV as dumb as possible. Play video. Maybe audio, too.
Don't run software I can't see, access, inspect, update or safeguard.
Don't have a webcam that can get hacked or a microphone others can
use. No IP address, no internet connection. Just a display.

Always-on device + webcam + microphone + CPU + hackable firmware
sounds like a really bad idea. Kinda like... a smart-phone!
